July 2016
                                   A House for Healing
From the pastor:

During a gloomy and rainy few days in February, women from Christ Episcopal Church and Triune Mercy Center traveled to Nashville, TN, to get a first-hand look at Thistle Farms, a ministry that seeks restoration and healing for sexually exploited and traumatized women. We came home on fire to provide such a ministry in Greenville.
We plan to start with a home -- a comfortable, nurturing home that will provide two years of free shelter, food, counseling and friendship for a handful of women. We hope to eventually go into a social enterprise and all sorts of things. But first, the home.
People ask us a lot of questions -- will the home be rural, urban or suburban? Will the staff live in? Will there be gardens? All that is still under consideration.
Because first, we need the home. Toward that end, we are seeking donation of a house with at least four bedrooms and two baths and/or land somewhere in Greenville County. We're not going to be more specific because we don't want to place limits on your creativity or generosity -- or on God's.
So there you have it. If you have a house or land you'd like to donate, please contact Karen Eller, Triune's associate pastor and co-chair of this project, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  . Or call her at 233-8020, ext. 170.
